This coal mine is the second stop on our Mystery Americana Road Show.
A real estate axiom: coal, once a residential heating source, gave way
to heating with oil which has been replaced with natural gas in most
home furnaces. If dormant fuel oil tanks are still present, they may
need to be removed. Hire a real estate agent who can help you facilitate their disposal.
The mine, one of this state’s largest, shuttered in 1999, produced high sulfur content coal.

Question #2: Name the mighty river, 300 yards in front of Steve, used to transport coal to the industrialized North.
Save this post card. It is the second of four you will receive. Each
card has a question that must be answered during May. Remember: first prize is $200, second is $100. Check our web site if you misplaced a card.
Best of luck,
