This bridge is the third stop on our “Historic Highways” driving tour contest.

A real estate axiom: most sellers love their homes. Today’s buyers are fairly demanding, however. Real estate agents need to point out any weak areas and offer solutions that won’t break the bank. Alternatively, the home can be priced to sell, given its shortcomings.

Near this site, Blackhawk, leader of the Sauk tribe, was defeated in the Battle of Bad Axe. He said, “I loved my towns, my cornfields, and the home of my people—I fought for it.”
