2006 Postcard #5
Pictured: An elderly Sadhu.
Here is the fifth and final image supplied to us by Karl Grobl Photography, San Diego, for use in our 2006 "Temples and Tombs" contest.
A real estate axiom: A real estate transaction does not allow for much quiet time. Whether buying or selling you need an agent who can accomplish your goals within your time parameters. The staff at Steve Grobl Real Estate is agile enough to accomodate your time table.
Question #5: This temple, located 5 km east of Kathmandu, is one of the world's most sacred Hindu shrines. To whom is this temple dedicated?
Contest winners will name the cenotaph and for whom it was built from postcard #1; name the ancient city, the religion of its people and the modern day country that surrounds the ruins in February's image; from the March card, identify the local dish being eaten in the Marcos Zapata rendition of the Last Supper; name the movement of pilgrims and the direction they travel around the stupa, as asked in our April postcard, and answer the question above. If you've misplaced your postcards, you may click here to view the other postcards in our 2006 contest.
Contact me via phone, mail or email with your answers. The contest ends at 6 pm CDT, Sunday, May 28, 2006. In the event of multiple winning answers, the earliest contact will determine the winner. Include your name and telephone number in your response.
Winners of the $200 first prize and $100 second prize will be announced in our August mailing.
