Lynn, of Somonauk, e-mailed her answers and captured the $200 first place prize.
Frank's answers won him second place and $100.
Our winners provided the price per acre, two cents, Seward paid Russia for Alaska; named the Dalton Highway; gave December 21 and June 21 as days of no sunshine and no darkness at the Arctic Circle; defined the temperature oil emerges from the ground near 180 F. and the cooled temperature it travels through the pipeline at 120F.; and named Susan Butcher, the 4-time Iditarod winner.
Recently Steve Grobl Real Estate provided a competitive market analysis on a house. A competitor suggested a higher price. Our proposal was chosen because the seller perceived our price, although lower, to accurately reflect the current market pricing conditions.
Lynn and Frank tried to be accurate with their answers and so do we.
Congratulations to all participants, we hope you join us for the 2008 contest.
