2009 Postcard #6

Here are the 2009 “Native Americans of Illinois” contest winners.

Carolyn Lauing Finzer, of Naperville, called with her answers and captured the $200 first place prize. Anne’s answers won her second place and $100. The wampum is in the basket.

Our winners identified the Starved Rock State Park; named Isle a La Cache as the Des Plaines River island; answered Fabyan Forest Preserve; located Red Oak Nature Center in Batavia, and correctly provided the Evergreen Cemetery, Morris, as the repository for Chief Shabbona’s remains.

Even in this market Steve Grobl Real Estate has been drumming up business. The current market is strong for condos, townhouses, and entry level homes that are priced accurately for their condition and location. First time home buyers are still hoping to take advantage of the tax credit set to expire December 1, but they need to act quickly.
