2010 Postcard #1
Steve Grobl Real Estate begins each year with a sleuthing contest.
The 2010 edition, our eleventh, “Illinois Railroad History,” will test your knowledge of the economic development, geography, and history of northern Illinois.
January through May you will receive post cards providing clues necessary to answer questions and win either the $200 first prize or the $100 second prize. Winners will receive American Express Gift Checks.
A real estate axiom: Although the rules of the game change, buyers still want to buy, and sellers, sell. If the bank won’t finance the transaction, your real estate broker should be fluent in seller financing, rent-to-own, and other strategies.

Question #1: In 1971 the final load of coal was delivered to the State Mental Hospital, the last customer serviced by this line. Name the railroad that first used these rails. Also name the trolley museum that currently uses them.
Save this post card, #1 of 5. Each has a question that must be answered in May. Click here to view the postcards from our previous contests.
Good luck,
