2010 Postcard #2
Legend has it that Abraham Lincoln’s wife, Mary Todd, while at Bellevue Place Women’s Sanatorium, slept in the bed now displayed in this depot museum.
A real estate axiom: Proper maintenance, both mechanical and cosmetic, makes a property ready for sale in any market. Quality properties are always desirable.
Pictured above: Steve at a well maintained Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Depot. Built in 1849 it is not considered a tear down candidate!
Question #2 in our “Illinois Railroad History” contest: Identify the caboose by its number. Provide the date and location where it was built.
Save this post card, #2 of 5. Each has a question that must be answered in May. Click here to view the postcards from our previous contests.
