2010 Postcard #3
This is the third image in our “Illinois Railroad History” contest.
A real estate axiom: When purchasing commercial property, a Phase One Environmental Study is recommended. Your real estate agent should have contacts in the architectural, environmental, mechanical, and structural disciplines.
Pictured above: Steve and a Hiawatha class passenger car. 100 mph. Luxury in its day!
Question #3: Not far from this site was a 13,000 acre army depot. It was 4 miles wide and 14 miles long. Identify the army depot and what usage required this unique lay-out.
Save this post card, #3 of 5. Each has a question that must be answered in May. Click here to view the postcards from our previous contests.
Spring is almost here!
