2010 Postcard #4
Our fourth stop on the “Illinois Railroad History” contest features an Illinois Central Railroad Depot built in 1857.
A real estate axiom: Some areas are considered architectural preservation zones. Due diligence is required prior to purchase in order to ascertain possible building restrictions.
Pictured above: The 1946 Chrysler parked in front of what served as the depot but is now the visitor’s center.
Question #4: This town was once a thriving lead mining center. Give the name and address of the U.S. President who lived here.
Save this post card, it is #4 of 5 you will receive. Each has a question that must be answered next month. Remember, first prize is $200, second $100. Click here to view the postcards from our previous contests.
You can do it!
